It is a resin plastic recorder that is comparable to any similar wood recorder on the market, yet is much more durable and easy to care for. This recorder is in the key of C, and the fingering system is that of the Baroque-English system (the most popular fingering system). An optional thumb rest is included with your recorder but has not been attached to the instrument. We recommend attaching the optional thumb rest, using a good quality glue, only after you've played the instrument for a while and know exactly where you will get the most benefit from using the thumb rest.
